- Title
An Ecological Model for Assessing Psychosocial Difficulties in Children.
- Authors
Hess, Peg; Howard, Tina
- Abstract
The need for a more sophisticated assessment of children's psychosocial difficulties is addressed by an ecological model that unifies information from recent strides in family theory, crisis theory, systems theory, and environmental and social psychology. The authors suggest that intervention requires knowledge of all the interacting variables in children's environments and they offer an assessment checklist for application of the ecological approach in practice with children and families.
