- Abstract
The relationship between the vibration and the noise of rolling bearings is studied based on grey relational theory. Two kinds of Type-6201 and 6203 rolling bearings are used in the experimentation research. The vibration is characterized by the virtual value of the acceleration., and the noise is expressed as the sound pressure level. The vibration could not be used instead ofthe noise because the relationship between the vibration and the noise of rolling bearings is usually unclear with the existence of great uncertainty, and sometimes there are . some system errors according to the data processing results. Therefore the problem ofthe noise of rolling bearings must be studied independently, and the statidards of the noise and the corresponding technology of rolling bearings must be established.
