- Abstract
A specific method to detect fipronil in postmortem samples with solid phase extraction is presented. For sample clean up a simple but selective solid phase extraction is chosen. Elution was done with 1: 1 mixture of dichloromethane and ethyl acetate. Fipronil was detected in stomach tissue and in blood sample. For LCMS gradient elution with a mixture of acetonitrile and water was used. The column was Hypersil Gold. This method is applied to a suicidal case involving intoxication with Fipronil.
