- Abstract
Materials and Methods: Silver nanoparticles were prepared with Plectranthus amboinicus extract by boiling the leaves of P. amboinicus with silver nitrate. The stable silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV–spectrum, which shaved shift peak at 425 nm. The antimicrobial activity of silver nanoparticles was investigated against Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus by disc diffusion method compared with standard drug. Results: Silver nanoparticles with Plectranthus amboinicus extract were prepared, which was evidenced by UV absorption spectra.
