- Abstract
In ultra-dense small cell networks scenarios of 5G, in order to reduce the inter-cell interference(ICI), an interference management scheme based on cell clustering is proposed. The scheme starts by grouping these small cells overlaid under the macro cell into clusters, then mitigates the intra-cluster and inter-cluster interference based on multi-cell cooperation and interference avoidance in frequency or time domain respectively. For the key issue of cell clustering that is interference weight calculation, a new continuous interference weight based on signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) and signal-to-othercell-interference ratio (SOIR) is presented. The weight not only reflects the interference relationships between users, but also adaptively adjusts the strategy of resource contention between interfering users, moreover, the additional selection criterion for cell clustering is proposed based on the harmonic mean of distance. Simulation results show that the throughput of new scheme can be improved from 20% to 30% compared with that of the traditional cell clustering scheme, and the performance of cells and overall systems can be improved.
