- Abstract
The economic literature regarding inventory management modeling focuses on the development of stochastic and deterministic inventory control models. Among these models, deterministic static models are the ones that have lowest level of mathematical complexity. Classical economic order quantity and economic production quantity models are the most common examples of deterministic static modeling. Although these models are simple and practical, sometimes they are regarded insufficient to respond problems faced in real life. For this reason, to be able to answer real life problems, new models are produced by adding new assumptions to the model or relaxing existing assumptions of the model. In these models, deterioration of products, multiple products, different demand functions, quantity reductions, variable production rate, time value of money, inflation and learning effect are discussed. In this study, a comprehensive literature review is conducted for these stock control models developed under different situations.
