- Abstract
Instructional design models are utilized to design education-teaching processes accurately. The ADDIE model is the best known example of instructional design models. It consists of combining the words Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation and clearly indicates from which stages the process has taken place. The purpose of the present study is to review studies conducted in the period of 2009-2015, which referred the ADDIE Model and reveal the relationship with technological processes (Distance learning, educational multimedia tool development, educational website, etc.). This research is a qualitative research. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis. It was considered that 71% of reviewed studies were highly relevant with technological processes. 90% of studies were relevant with the utilization process of course support materials in classroom environment or in online environment and the process of transformation of education institutions into totally online form. Studies were conducted on 16 independent domains and in 9 different countries. This situation suggests that the ADDIE model could be employed in diverse cultures and in different disciplines. It was observed that the ADDIE model yielded valid and positive results for almost all majors in processes such as distance learning, educational web site design and interactive material development. It was understood that researchers in pursuit of combining educational processes with technological processes could utilize from the ADDIE model.
