- Abstract
Family is the basic nucleus of the society that should provide children with the necessary love, security, and the feeling of protection, but frequently what happens is the complete opposite. The main goal of this paper is to analyze the risk factors of the emergence of children's delinquency, with particular accent on the impact of the domestic violence on emergence of deviant behaviors in children after facing the challenges they experience in the close family environment; the most affected categories, the most frequent perpetrators by gender and the forms in which it is manifested. The theoretical analysis and statistical methods were used to present the results of the online survey. The results obtained in this study show that besides women, children are the most predisposed category to violence, mainly perpetrated by male members of the family, which is mostly manifested through psychological violence. Violence perpetrated directly against children, or them witnessing violence against other family members and failure to provide adequate assistance when they are most in need, is a risk factor for the inadequate development of children, which is why these children are more at risk to show deviant behavior in the future and break the law.
