- Abstract
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is the major method for determining the ratio of hydrolyzed to reactive components in a reactive dye. This technique has been used for many years to study both the dyes and their behavior in the dyeing process. In this paper, the effects of mobile phase, ion-pairing agent, stationary phase, and gradient on the separation of several reactive dyes are reported. Special emphasis is placed on C.I. Reactive Blue 21, a complex phthalocyanine mixture.
