- Abstract
This descriptive study aims to show the analysis of the various techniques, methods and methodologies used in the design of new products in order to raise the arguments that must contain a planning model for product innovation. The location of key documents, settle data, content analysis, classification and synthesis of information was performed, resulting in a classification of techniques, methods and methodologies according to different areas of analysis. This classification also indicates the purpose with their application. The result of the study is the discussion and implications of the techniques, methods and methodologies identified in the literature, in which it is emphasized that in the construction of a planning model of innovation product design should be made explicit the relationship of different levels of planning, such as: the normative, strategic, tactical, operational and resource planning.
