- Abstract
Some studies suggest cultural transformation is an imperative for educative quality and innovation improvement. Therefore it was held as the main objective to identify the cultural profiles of two private sector Higher Education Institutions in the department of Cauca (Colombia). A quantitative and transversal study was carried out and, by means of an intentional probabilistic sampling, the cultural perceptions of 201 employees were evaluated. With the findings, significant differences were found in the cultural typologies between the two HEI, that is, clan and market, while there are significant differences between the cultural typologies that occur within the HEI 1, but not in the HEI 2. Dominant cultures: clan, market and hierarchy present significant differences with the adhocratic culture, which could affect the initiative of change and continuous improvement around educational innovation.
