- Abstract
Purpose: This paper proposes to identify green entrepreneurial and personal quality skills within Gen Y. Design/methodology/approach:Quantitative Approach\Questionnaire Findings:There are two critical findings in this study. Firstly, the findings revealed a significant association between green entrepreneurial skills and digital green entrepreneurial competency. Secondly, there is also a significant association between personal quality skills and digital green entrepreneurial competency. Research limitations/implications:Upon reviewing previous studies, it is apparent that there has been minimal research into the skills needed to become a digital green entrepreneur. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a guideline for future research and application. Practical implications:This study may help Gen Y to understandwhat skills are needed to enable them to become digital green entrepreneurs and to compete with other entrepreneurs. Originality/value:As a result of the findings and discussion within this study, green entrepreneurial skills and personal quality skills are seen as being important in the development of digital green entrepreneurs. There is a strong relationship between skills and digital green entrepreneurial competency. This study will contribute new findings to the body of knowledge.
