- Abstract
The aim of this work was to obtain vinyl ester nanocomposite materials with different contents of filler and to investigate the influence over the electrical properties of these materials. The vinyl-ester thermoset polymer matrix was reinforced with graphite and graphene in following weight percentage: 0.10 wt%, 0.15 wt% and 0.20 wt%. Six nanocomposite materials along with the neat vinyl ester polymer were used in this study. TeraOhm 5kV tester was used to measure the electrical properties. The experimental results show that by the addition of nanomaterial filler to the vinyl-ester resin may change the electrical properties of the nanocomposite material. Can be obtain an enhancement of the electrical conductivity of several orders of magnitude from a minimum value of percolation even for low fillers content.
