- Abstract
Most classifiers usually use a variety of algorithms to generate the rule set in term of the whole training dataset. For using greedy algorithm, some high quality rules usually have been missed. For using associative classification, there are a lot of redundant rules and it is very difficult to prune the redundant rules. As a result, they all cannot achieve high classification accuracy in some data. Former research on learning objects has targeted either learners, as consumers of these objects, or teachers, as developers who reuse these objects as educational resources in new courses. Recently a new need has come for sharing and reusing learning design related knowledge. Our main goal in this work is to increase the level of reusability of learning design related knowledge, either theoretical or practical, in designing new online courses. We first define a new concept of learning design object. The primary aim of this concept is to elucidate how we can develop a set of more powerful learning objects targeted to support teachers in their design activities. We then use a class diagram to facilitate the representation of the general model of a repository of learning design objects. Furthermore we illustrate the usefulness of the proposed repository through a learning design support framework.
