- Abstract
This paper reviews cross disciplinary work on service supply chain and service operations to identify and define the structure and decisions for an integrated service supply chain (SSC) framework. A systematic approach for review of research literature ensures it is auditable and repeatable. Latent semantic analysis enables text mining of key terms from the three established services journals. Relevant information is analyzed from over 500 archival articles and synthesized into an integrated framework. The study finds key terms used in various articles published in different journals over a period of time. Key term frequency by journals within various time periods is also obtained. An extensive review on SSC is offered which highlights the structure, decisions, and the application areas of SSC in different service sectors. This study is an attempt to conceptualize a service supply chain through a framework which helps visualize the integrated service network. The proposed framework can be applied to different service firms to cope with uncertainty in complex markets.
