- Abstract
Soybean rust, soybean downy mildew, and soybean thrips, soybean pod borers, and soybean nocturnal moths are the world wide diseases and insect pests in soybean production, which pose a potential threat to soybean production in Great Mekong Sub-region (GMS), comprising Cambodia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Yunnan province, the People's Republic of China. This paper summarized the host range, epidemiology, damage and control methods of these diseases and insect pests in GMS, with the aim to provide information basis for understanding and effective control of soybean diseases and insect pests in GMS.
