- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the possible danger of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in chronic immune thrombocytopenia (cITP) patients in Denmark. The study conducted a nationwide population-based cohort analysis using Cox regression, and medical records of cITP patients and participants from the general population to compare the incidence rate ratio (IRR) of VTE. The result shows that cITP patients are in higher risk of VTE compared to the general population.
