The article discusses the impact of emotional abuse and bullying in the workplace for nurses, and mentions the book "Ending Nurse-to-Nurse Hostility: Why Nurses Eat Their Young and Each" by Kathleen Bartholomew. It explores the experiences of several nurses, and the consequences they faced due to hostility or conflict from colleagues. Also discussed is a 2010 study by Claire Mallette on horizontal violence at the University Health Network. INSET: No end in sight.
