A PROJECTIVE TECHNIQUE FOR ASSESSING FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS.
- Authors
Howells, John G.; Lickorish, John R.
- Abstract
The article describes a picture projective technique for investigating family relationships and details a new method of validating it. 47 parents and children, from 13 families, replied to 20 cards from the revised Family Relations Indicator. The protocols were analyzed according to their syntax and thus broken down into specific behavioral items. According to the interpersonal theory of perception, these items should describe the subject's view of his family and the manner in which he interacts with them.
