- Abstract
The article discusses the standardization of efforts to minimize deoxy-ribonucleic acid (DNA) contamination of forensic swabs across Australia's health care system. It addresses related issues including the consequences of DNA contamination, prominent cases involving DNA contamination and response from forensic scientists and regulators on the problem. A list of recommendations from the viewpoint of forensic medical practitioners to standardize forensic medical practice is also cited.
