- Abstract
The article discusses the difference in life expectancy between men and women in the U.S. Despite the narrowing of the gap in life expectancy between the sexes, the disparity continues to be significant as reported by the Center for Disease Control's National Center for Health Statistics. Biology, hormonal influences, psychosocial and lifestyle factors are some of the reasons why men lag behind women. Techniques that can be followed in an effort to improve men's health and prolong their life are provided.
