- Abstract
The article presents a guide to organizations, books and periodicals concerned with the sociological concept of nonviolence. Description of major organizations active in nonviolence has been given like Fellowship of Reconciliation Organization (FOR)--an affiliate of International FOR (IFOR) is a major pacifist organization carrying out a variety of projects concerning peace, civil rights, and related areas such as education in non- violence and against capital punishment. Large topical libraries are maintained by IFOR and also by many of its 27 national affiliates. Newsletter covers highlights of IFOR activities and concerns, with additional journals published by the national affiliates. There are several books dealing with the subject of non-violence like, "Conquest of Violence," by Joan V. Bondurant which is an outstanding analysis and application of the Gandhian philosophy of conflict, "The Power of Non-violence," by Richard Gregg which discusses the psychological factors relate to nonviolent resistance. There are several articles concerning protests for civil rights.
