- Abstract
The article focuses on a case report related to occupational contact urticaria from penicillin. 6 nurses were seen in whom their presence in rooms where penicillin injections were given caused anaphylactic shock and urticaria, urticaria and rhinitis and urticaria only. In one nurse, her hypersensitivity was so severe, that several weeks after cessation of contact with antibiotics, she developed disseminated wheals in a tram when meeting a friend returning from her duties during which she had given penicillin injections.
