- Abstract
To the Editor, Sulfonamides consist of drugs with several pharmacological uses and can be grouped into antibiotic and nonantibiotic sulfonamides. Lymphocyte transformation tests were performed in seven patients who had an adverse reaction with drugs other than sulfonamides and five subjects with no history of adverse drug reaction (Table S2), all results being negative. LTT sensitivity and specificity were 60% and 100%, respectively.6 In the other study, 17 patients showing drug eruptions with sulfonamides and 8 controls were assessed with LTT.
