- Abstract
We appreciate the interest by Dr. Hsia and colleagues in our article discussing potential advanced imaging-based selection paradigm for patients presenting with mild strokes.1 The management and selection for reperfusion therapies is challenging in this cohort because of significant heterogeneity in presentation, natural history supporting higher likelihood of a good clinical outcome, and potential risks associated with reperfusion therapies. Prevalence of imaging targets in patients with Minor stroke selected for IV tPA treatment using MRI: the treatment of Minor stroke with MRI evaluation study (TIMES). National Institutes of Health stroke scale score and vessel occlusion in 2152 patients with acute ischemic stroke.
