- Abstract
This article focuses on the potential impact of work and family conflict on health and job outcomes of 206 women employees with partial and full-time jobs in Santiago de Chile. Additionally, this study examines the extent to which the length and flexibility of work schedules are related to work and family conflict and to women's health states. The results suggest that: (a) work and family conflict influences women's health, particularly regarding mental health; (b) the length of the work schedule has and influence on health outcomes, however mediated by work and family conflict, and (c) work and family conflict is associated with job outcomes such as satisfaction and performance.
