Title
Nigeria at the Crossroads.
Authors
Joseph, Richard A.
Abstract
The article shares the author's insights on the political situation in Nigeria in 1981. According to the author, the task of administering general elections under civilian auspices will be a more difficult challenge than the country's initial transition of power from military regime to civilian government in 1979. He points out that the first executive president, Shehu Shagari, is confronted with the challenge of reducing the risk of intersectional disputes.
