The Effect of Folic Acid and B12 on Depression: Twelve Case Studies.
- Authors
Mitchell, Joseph A.
- Abstract
Nutrition plays a vital role in human behavior not just in terms of manifest physical processes but, in particular, nutrition has an impact on individual cognitive and emotional processing. Lack of nutrition or, more specifically, the lack of proper nutrition, is thought to have an adverse effect on mood. The following 12 case studies will explore to what extent incorporating a nutritional supplement into a client's diet impacts the symptoms of persons afflicted with depression. Results from pretest/posttest depression scores using the Beck Depression Inventory-II or the Symptom Checklist-90-Revised will be reported.
