- Title
The Brooke Astor Case: "An Appalling Set of Circumstances".
- Abstract
The third part of an interview with lawyer Alex Forger about the Brooke Astor case is presented. He discusses the elements of conspiracy as alleged by the prosecution against Anthony Marshall, the 85-year-old son of the late philanthropist Astor, and lawyer Francis Morrissey. He explains the lessons from the case that can be learned by lawyers who represent older persons or persons with diminished capacity. He notes that one beneficial consequence of the case is the raised awareness of elder abuse and knowledge that it is beyond physical mistreatment.
