Title
Clozapine: Once-Daily or Divided Dosing?
Authors
Miller, Brian
Abstract
The article discusses a 2024 case study of a 29-year-old White male with a schizophrenia history and hospitalization and treatment-resistant positive symptoms. His father is interested in a trial of clozapine to reduce seizure risk, and the potential benefits of once- versus twice-a-day dosing of it. It is concluded that once-daily dosing was linked to lower daily clozapine dose, better clinical outcomes, and with no differences in clozapine-related adverse effects.
