Abstract
The article discusses diversity in the workplace among executives. Studies indicating that progressively fewer women and minority executives rise through promotion to senior management positions or become chief executive officers (CEO) are discussed. The role of chief financial officers (CFO) in promoting diversity among financial executives as a means of improving financial performance is examined.
