- Abstract
The article focuses on the status of political prisoners in Egypt and their plight. Topics discussed include the detention of Egyptian human rights lawyer and political activist Mahienour al-Massry who was arrested for organizing a protest demanding justice for the conviction and death of Egyptian man Khalid Sa'id, the warning received by al-Massry on not to proceed her planned hunger strike, and the conflict of interest created by the declaration of Law 107 by President Adli Mansour.
