- Abstract
Background: During early stages of childhood, the physical and mental development is dependent on the way of child‟s lifestyle. The effects of children‟s activity during a young age flourish their personality as who they grow up to be. Children needs a diversified exposure of both online and offline experiences, including the chance to let their minds grow and discover new aspects. The growing solicitude of impact of technology on the younger generation is an alarming thing. Objectives: The study aims to appraise and lead to awareness among parents of children under 5 years of age regarding WHO guidelines on „physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep for children under 5‟ with special emphasis on screen time. Methodology: The study will be conducted among parents of children of up to five years of age. The parents will be summoned for questionnaires and survey for the following. Based on the analysis of results, an orientation session will be conducted and after the session information flyer will be distributed for the time ahead. Expected Results: The result expected is a better understanding in parents for scientific basis of restricting screen time of children and improved daily physically active habits. Conclusion: Expected study may be helpful for future research and studies
