- Abstract
Based on the fractal theory and the generalized Darcy's law, spherical seepage for Bingham fluid in isotropic porous media is studied, and the fractal analytical expressions for the permeability of Bingham fluid and the starting pressure gradient are derived. The results show that the spherical permeability of Bingham fluid decreases with the increase of radial distance and tortuosity while increases with the porosity. The starting pressure gradient increases with the increase of radial distance, tortuosity fractal dimension and the yield stress, while decreases with the increase of the maximum diameter and permeability.
