- Abstract
In order to study the aroma components in the concentrated evaporative condensate during the production of reconstituted tobacco, the aroma components were prepared, enriched and separated from the condensate by medium pressure preparation liquid chromatography. The enriched and separated solutions were analyzed by gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC/TOFMS) combined with sensory quality evaluation. The results showed that: 1) The recovery rate of aroma components was 83.51% from the concentrated evaporation condensation. 2) According to production requirements, the enriched substances could be separated at six sections separately to obtain the enriched and separated solutions containing different flavor components. 3) All of the enriched and separated solutions from the six sections had different positive effects on the sensory quality of reconstituted tobacco materials. The results of this study provide a reference for the enrichment and separation of different tobacco aroma components from the condensed evaporative condensate and the improvement of intrinsic quality of reconstituted tobacco products.
