- Abstract
A high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was developed for rapid determination of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and 2, 2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone (DMPA). The ultraviolet/visible wavelength detector was used, and detection wavelength was 220 nm. Waters XBridge C18 column was used. The mobile phase was methanol-water gradient elution, and flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. The results show that HEMA and DMPA maintain a good linear relationship in the range of 0.5~200.0 μg/mL and 0.5~20.0 μg/mL, the correlation coefficient (r) is above 0.999, the recovery rate is 90%~110%, and the coefficient of variation (RSD) is less than 0.5%. The method is accurate, sensitive, rapid and reproducible, and can simultaneously and rapidly detect HEMA and DMPA within 10 min.
