Abstract
The article details how the Australian Medical Association (AMA) of Western Australia (WA), in collaboration with other organizations, helped recommence general practice (GP) registrar's examination that was cancelled because of the COVID-19 lockdown in Perth. AMA (WA) chief executive Doctor Bennie Ng held several meetings and worked through the issue with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) as well as key personnel at the WA Department of Health.
