Fourteen additional cases, not called as code red, received blood products, creating 71 total trauma activations for cases characterized by major hemorrhage in a pediatric patient. This brief report highlights the incidence of pediatric trauma characterized by major hemorrhage as being 4% of all trauma activations in the pediatric population admitted to a major trauma center.
