- Abstract
This research aims to develop a perspective on the relationship between work motivation and hygiene behavior in food and beverage business from the perspective of the employees. With this aim in mind, we conducted a survey on 250 employees working in food and beverage enterprises with tourism operation license. Analysis of data obtained reveals that work motivations of the employees are shaped by managerial approach, work safety, working environment and self-realization. On the other hand, hygiene behaviors of the participants include voluntary hygiene behavior, hygiene knowledge, compulsory hygiene behavior and opinions on hygiene. We found a medium-level (r=0,551) and positive meaningful relationship between work motivations of the employees and their hygiene behaviors.
