- Abstract
The aim of our work is to synthesize a new difunctional polyepoxide macromolecular binder: diglycidyl bis disulfide carbon ether of bisphenol A by a condensation reaction. This prepolymer was synthesized in two steps. The first step is to conjugate the carbon disulfide with the aromatic spacer arm, bisphenol A. In the second stage, we have functionalized the latter with epichlorohydrin. The prepolymer obtained is highly viscous. After synthesis of the diglycidyl of bis disulfide carbon ether of bisphenol A, we have characterized it by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Its chemical structure was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance proton and carbon. Then, we studied the viscosimetric behavior, which plays a primordial role in the phenomena of flow and the implementation of the macromolecular matrix using a capillary viscometer of type Ubbelohde.
