- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 20-year-old man who presented to the hospital with fever, general myalgia and headache for five days. Initial laboratory findings indicated he had a primary Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection but three days after admission, he exhibited behavioral disturbances in addition to complaints of headache and dizziness. His final diagnosis was primary EBV infection presenting encephalitis and concomitant hepatitis. He was given anti-epileptic drugs.
