- Abstract
The article discusses the effectiveness of the ex utero intrapartum tracheostomy (EXIT) in treating giant fetal neck mass. It states that EXIT method is indicated when a fetus requires tracheal intubation, tracheostomy, resection of a mass, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation or separation from a conjoined twin at the time of delivery. It indicates that EXIT procedures for fetal neck mass were effective for 37-39 weeks gestation unless indication for earlier intervention exists.
