- Abstract
The article presents a research that examines the synthesis of tailored palladium-alumina catalysts and further demonstrates that extremely low palladium loadings produce atomically dispersed palladium surface species that confer exceptional selox activity of allylic alcohols. It discusses methodologies in the study such as extended X-ray absorption fine structure. It concludes that the synthesis process has introduced mesoporous catalysts containing atomically dispersed palladium centers.
