- Abstract
Introduction: One of the main causes of death in Mexico and world-wide is lung cancer and even more complicated when metastasized, so opportune detection with imaging is paramount. Diagnosis: Diagnosis through imaging is carried out through screening studies or nodules detection in a thorax study. Staging: CT and PET integration enables to obtain anatomical and functional images in a single study, since the benefits of the two techniques are combined. Conclusion: The response to treatment with FDG-PET is a good indicator, while a decrease in the FDG tumor retention FDG has an appropriate correlation with pathological response degree.
