- Abstract
The reality of ESP has been debated for a century, but strong, anecdotal, evidential cases continue to be reported to organizations systematically collecting and evaluating such experiences. The Rhine Research Center in North Carolina has been researching the experimental science of parapsychology for the past 70 years. It also houses the world's largest collection of spontaneous ESP experiences. The horrific Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the U.S. sparked numerous reports to the Rhine Center. As we commemorate the recently completed tenth anniversary of the attack, we look at one of the strangest reports received by the Rhine Center. Is it a case of genuine psychic ability? Investigative journalist Michael Schmicker presents the case, based on an investigation he personally conducted with Dr. Sally Feather, Ph.D. Executive Director of the Center.
